The BIJGA and the Maui Junior Golf Association have always had a close relationship with each other. This event began many years ago but ended abruptly when the 9/11 tragedy struck. A few years later, the Hilo - Maui Cup Challenge was reborn to what it is today. Played in a Ryder Cup format, the HMCC has been a great way to learn the competitive matchplay formats and team golf. It has also been the springboard for making new friends and fostering relationships.  For Juniors 11 years and older.  Teams are chosen by points earned throughout a designated period within the annual golf season and "Captains Pick".
