KTA Senior Scholarship K. Taniguchi Super Stores generously sponsors a fundraising tournament that supplements a scholarship program for our graduating high school seniors planning to continue their education. This tournament, called the Tony Taniguchi Big Island Senior Golf Tournament, is held annually. Graduating high school seniors must meet a set criteria in order to qualify for this award. Big Island Candies Scholarship
The purpose of the Big Island Candies Foundation Scholarship Program is to encourage and promote the attainment of higher educational goals for graduating seniors who are active members of a Junior Golf Program on the Big Island and have demonstrated a high level of academic achievement during high school. DENNIS ROSE MEMORIAL GOLF SCHOLARSHIP
The family of Dennis Rose is pleased to offer an annual scholarship to a high school senior
who is a member of the BIJGA. The monetary scholarship will be awarded for the Fall semester of that school year. The purpose of this memorial scholarship is to recognize a recipient whose behavior and sportsmanship epitomizes and honors Dennis’ views on the game and how the game should influence a young player’s life. Dennis believed that golf was truly “A Gentleman's Game” and how you conduct yourself on the golf course should carry over to how you conduct yourself in life. As such, the recipient should be polite, helpful, honest, and display good sportsmanship at all times. The student awarded this scholarship must complete high school by June 30 and must be enrolled or planning to enroll as a full-time college student in the following school year.
